Don’t pollute Commercial

August 20th, 2010 by Deb McLean

I got makeup in my eye today and as I looked into the mirror, one tear rolled down my cheek.  It made me remember a powerful commercial from the late 1970′s.  Do you remember it?

This 1978 commercial featured Iron Eyes Cody as part of the Keep America Beautiful campaign. This is a later version of the famous crying Indian commercial that first aired in the early 70′s. Ironically, it was revealed years later that he was actually born in Louisiana to parents who had immigrated from Sicily.
