Okay, I love my Kindle. But, ya know what? I’m going to want the new Kindle (unless I suck it up and buy the iPad). Then WHY is Target putting the old Kindle in their store when the new and improved Kindle is just month’s away (projected for August). Granted, Target’s 100-store test was successful -Kindle “practically flew off the shelves”.
But instead of waiting to roll out an upgraded version to all of Target’s 1,740 U.S. outlets in time for back-to-school shopping, both e-tailer and retailer just pushed the old Kindle out last week. What do you think these loyal Target customers are going to think when they realize the just paid $250+ for an Old Version?
It’s a great way to tick customers off. My advise, if you’re considering a Kindle. Wait. Or suck it up and buy the iPad.
